Very respectful. I have always had a soft spot for Hindley and its people. They never fail to put on a show of solidarity, whether it be poppies decorating the local churches and the lamp-posts for Remembrance Day, or the shops decorating their windows and exteriors for Christmas or for any other event. I like the view of the rear of the Bird-i'th -Hand pub and the spire of St. Peter's too....unchanged since my schooldays in Hindley many years ago.

It looks like a peaceful place to reflect from the hustle and bustle of everyday living.

It is very well designed and looked after, the other two sides are for the Royal Airforce, and the Royal Navy.

Of course, Wigan council news-site "Wigan Today" replaced the name Hindley with Wigan at every opportunity.

Spoiled by Mick's "Logo" I much prefer photo's unsullied.
