Is it still used?

A few years ago a friend of mine, who knows I love sunflowers, took me for a ride in her car to show me a field just behind the police station where there were so many sunflowers it took my breath away. I am no expert on flowers and gardening and don't know if they would be there year after year or if it was just the once, but they were a sight to behold. When my children were young, I think we once walked down there with our beloved pet dog Ziggy, and ended up at The Three Sisters. I don't know whether that would still be possible....it was a long time ago!

Somebody on YouTube made a video of the Bamfurlong Sunflowers.

Peter P....When my friend took me to see the sunflowers, the police station was still in use. I'm not sure if it is used as the police stations of old where people can go to report a crime, (I think those "Heartbeat/Dixon of Dock Green" days are probably behind us now and you have to ring a number to find yourself 32nd in the queue!), but it is certainly still in use, maybe for administrative purposes. If any of our p-a-d viewers live in the Bamfurlong/Stubshaw Cross area, they will hopefully have the answer to that.

Irene I live 5mins away from the police station but it is set back behind houses off the main road so have no reason to go that way. Will divert that way to look at the sunflowers later in the year if they are growing this year.

Irene: Please take note some one is using my I .D, I will stop for a while.

Thanks Peter P....you obviously aren't that far from me...I'm in Abram. John G....I can't understand what people get out of using someone else's ID...what is WRONG with people? It must be awful to see your name against something you haven't written. I hope it won't put you off posting on p-a-d.

The police station is on the site of the old Jolly Jacks club.

Same here Irene, I can't see the point of it. Don't let them stop you commenting John.

Mick must be cycling all night to get from London to Wigan.
It wasn't April 1st he posted that photo with his packed suitcase was it?

Mick , Sunderland fans ( great people ) have taken over Covent Garden , if you are going that way . Noisy , but brilliant ! London doesn’t know what’s hit em , tourists even less.
It’s our lads next week .

A lot of these new police stations that I have seen are all the same design

Neither the police station or the sunflowers are in Bamfurlong.
