When we have blown up everything, and left a mess in place,
when everything we called as us, and scarred with such disgrace,
when rain and wind are called upon,
to clean this Earth which walked on ,
then finally then these doors will creak,
and those who are , from thence shall speak...

When I was in the Infants' Dept. at Ince Central School. (the "babies' class as we used to call it), we learned a poem that began "Someone came a -knocking at my wee, small door"., and as soon as I saw today's p-a-d it came straight back to me. I was 5 years old when I learned it and I can still recite it. Lovely photo.

I could show you a pic very similar to this but its not Wigan. A little door & window at the bottom of a tree, with a cuddly Winnie the Pooh popped up by the door, nothing is ever tampered with or spoilt. Its in the woods at HM 's country park at Sandringham

Good job it's a treehouse and not a council house.

Walk through here very regularly, the fairy door is quite near the bridge at the Aspull end of the wood.

A good joiner with a lively imagination must have constructed that fairytale idea. It's charming ...

Looks like it’s been carved out of the tree itself rather than have been constructed separately.

Yes I bet it took ages chiselling all the wood out... at least nobody can break in.. I like the washing line as well. ;o))

How sweet and charming!

I wonder if Peter Rabbit lives there.

My granddaughter would love this, she loves fairy doors. I have bought her a couple from The Works, for her to put in the garden..This is lovey for children.
