Cracking photo Mike, fabulous sky.
They are cycling on the canal towpath. Poolstock is to the right of the photo over the hedges.
An excellent picture that really captures the feeling of ' a grand day out ' . I hope they went for miles and stopped for a pub lunch somewhere .
Beautiful photo... what more could they ask for fresh air, exercise and that sky is glorious. If I lived in Wigan I would join them.
Its a nice smooth towpath on this section but it gets spoiled with Poolstock and Lower Ince dog walkers and their out of control dogs
The tow path further up on the left of the canal banks next to Horrocks Flash is also good, but now its sinking, so at each section you have a 2 inch drop.

Lovely clear photo.Like everyone I love the sky. Walked down here often, with our in control dog.
As said by others the sky is excellent especially reflected on the pavings.

The towpaths are for all, not just Mick n' his bike.
