Amazing! I am not usually up late enough to see photo-a-day change from one photo to another. Fabulous photo.

How did I know it was Daves photo before I even saw his name....just brilliant.

What I cant understand is why the first and third lamps on the right of the photo are not twinkling like the others.
Irene I agree with you, it is amazing how the photos change over spot on midnight every day in the year.

Brilliant photo Dave , you can see the lorries container trailer red tail lights ,higher than the cars ,on he left ,and the lorry cab lights higher on the right.
Mick, looks like the LED lamps are out, may need replacing .
What was the shutter speed for this Dave please?

Yes it is a brilliant photograph, it fascinates me when flying home after a holiday and looking down over curving motorways and seeing all the lights. ( Good job it wasn't lit up like it is now during the last war when Hitler's bombs fell.)

A simple explanation is as follows - if it's Dave's, it's not a photograph, it's an image. An image is different to a photograph. That's how you can tell it's Dave's.

Speaking of looking out of plane windows Veebs, I recall the first time we flew out of Ringway, my girlfriend looked out of the window, then turned to me saying,... " ooh look down yonder, all them titchy folk favver little ants don't they?.....They were ants as it happens, as we hadn't actually taken off at that point.
Oh!, what fun we had on that trip.

The difference between a photograph and an image is...An image is any object thats modified or altered using a computer. A photograph is anything taken by a camera or photocopier..So Dave's picture is a photo.

The blueish lights to the right are HGV trailer top LED marker lights, red marker lights on the other side.

Do you still get a toffee after the jab Mick?
Last time I had a jab was for polio in about 1956, and they gave us all a toffee afterwards. I've still got mine.
I reckon if I have the toffee, I won't need the jab, as by now, it'll probably have mutated and developed the power to render me immune from pretty much anything.

Edna, Maureen, whatever you do, don't stop posting. We are all being made to feel as if we are idiots lately on here. We're not. Enjoy the photos and you are entitled to your opinion on them. I have never yet heard either of you say anything nasty or inappropriate.

Mick, Ozy passed our 1 bedroom hovel on his way home too. I'm surprised you wern't challenged filming inside a vacination centre, I would have thought it's not the done thing.

I totally agree Irene,a certain persons comments really annoy me..I don't post at all when he puts any photos on..I refuse to let him get under my skin with his negative comments..P-A-D is the first thing I look at every morning,and there has been some beautiful shots on..and thank them for taking the trouble to put them on here.

Standisher do you live in a flat ? The doctor said I was welcome to video this historical world event taking place, (his words not mine).

It truly wouldn't bother me if someone was taking photos or films. After all, they take photos and films in hospitals when a new baby has been born and even sometimes when, sadly, weddings have had to take place at a hospital bedside. That is just my own personal view and I accept that other people have a different view on things. If It was illegal I'm sure Mick would have been stopped from filming.
