An impressive and unique picture. Well done, Brian.

STUNNING !!! beautiful peaceful scene Brian, love it.

Lovely scene especially if it's on the 'doorstep'. I can see houses in the background, so leaning out of the bedroom window would certainly be a treat. ( unless you lean too far forward!)

A great place to live, my mates garden backs onto Whitley Reservoir and he built himself a nice decking area to sit out on and watch the wildlife,

My grandparents lived at St Clements Rd, I never knew the area was called Whitley, the address was always Wigan & I never knew there was a reservoir till I found it on a map. Its a really beautiful photo Brian, if I could, I would have it framed & hang it where I could see it every day. Beautiful !

Brilliant picture of mid winter , Brian . I'm reminded of a goblet of whiskey on a smoked glass table .

Brilliant photo. Poet, you couldn't have described it better. Like many photos that have appeared on p-a-d, I can see it as the cover of a mystery book. Lovely!

I think you’re entitled to take a bow for this photo Brian.

It's a bit too "Wuthering Heights" for me. I prefer warmth. Plus, I know the place well and can smell it as I look at that picture.

Granny Green Teeth is in there somewhere, or at least that's what I believed in the 1950s, LOL. (I'm still not really sure).

Do these places end up rat infested? I would not like to live near a res/lake or the canal. I walk round Georges pond Ashton and you can see holes in the bank of the pond

Absolutely wonderful Brian.
My! Poet , what a treasure chest you hold within that brain of yours .

The cloud reflection is excellent, looks cold! I'm going in for a warm cuppa.

Ex-Woodfielder - according to my husband, Granny Green Teeth lived in the river Douglas at Seven Stars Bridge!!
