Wigan Pier is the one thing I always recognize about Wigan, thank you for a lovely picture Mick.

Does anyone know how many ' makeovers ' Wigan Pier has had ?
I seem to remember going there in the late 80s to Victorian classroom and museum, the actors were brilliant and the place was packed out and my two kids thought the it was all great!
Where did it all go wrong?
Of course, all genuine Wiganers know that's not the original Wigan Pier. Well, they do don't they?
lovey berries for the birds to pick, on this snowy day in Wigan.A least someone is benefitting from the berries.
Course they do Bruce, it's common knowledge and there's a picture of the original pier in the museum of real life.
The 'splash' of the red berries help the photo along. Looking forward to a nice snow scene!
I hope so but doubt it.
