The Magi

Merry Christmas musician ! Or should I call you magician ?
For only you can touch the soul by moving air
With pipes and strings . What present didst thou bring ?
In the bleak mid winter by Gustav Holst .

Merry Yule O Painter ! Or rather Alchemist .
Creator of light from powders and oil
And dimensions from flat planes . What is your gift ?
Hunters in the snow by Pieter Bruegel .

Joyful Noël Poet ! Maker of sounds and smell
From twenty six marks on paper .
What a miracle to let deaf men hear . What did you leave ?
From Hamlet , Marcellus' soliloquy ...
*****************
" Some say that ever 'gainst that season comes
Wherein our saviours birth is celebrated ,
The bird of dawning singeth all night long ,
No spirit dare stir abroad , the nights are wholesome ,
No planets strike , no fairy takes
Nor witch hath power to charm ,
So hallowed and so gracious is the time ".

Have a nice day all.

I've driven past this many times and it seems this year they've really pushed the boat out, it's spectacular. A very well done to them. To all on WW, from our bubble to yours, a very Merry Christmas and a brilliant 2021 :)

A brilliant show as per usual, i took my annual evening photo of it, put my contribution in the collection box, and sent the photo to my cousin in sunny Australia as i always do, she thinks it's wonderful, as she would do, sat stifling in 30degs at Christmas, not for me i'm afraid.
A Merry Christmas to all WW subscribers.
A separate Merry Christmas to Maureen, have as pleasant a Christmas as is possible love. I've been where you are 23 years ago.
Chin up Maureen. X

Wigan World is UK and world wide. Wigganers go out and teach the nations!
All the very best everyone, whether with family or on your own.
Hope for a better 2021.

A brilliant display . Funny the Grinch police don't book some of the motorists who double park and make it hard for other motorists and HGV's to get past
