I wonder how that Jay sat still enough for you to take that photo David.
Lovely birds that are responsible for planting many of the countries oak trees. We have them in the woods behind us...the birds & the oaks !

Nice to see a good bird photo again . Jays are curious creatures . Their own voice is horrible yet they can mimic other songbirds beautifully . Rather like the Spice girls with auto tune .

The birds feathers are so colourful - a bit of 'mix and match' going on. The whole picture is a breath of fresh air. Very good David, you were patient to snap that photo.

Just think David , if this was a rare bird , twitchers would swamp the place and you would be famous . You don’t have a nervous disposition by any chance ?
