A beautiful picture of a beautiful picture scene.. Thank you.
p a d just getting better and better , thanks again Dennis, lovely photo and reminder of the times many many years ago now of when us kids would visit this place.
The CRT Wigan volunteers do a great job in keeping the Wigan flight clean and tidy and assisting the boats through the locks.
What a pretty picture that is Dennis, the bridge is framed by the little gardens either side. Top marks to the hard working couple.
Lovely photo Dennis of great history, I used to have a pint or two in the Top Lock inn that was just to the left of the photo. The pub was demolished in the early 1970s. It was known as the top ale house, the Kirkless inn was known as the middle and the Commercial inn was known as the bottom.
I still prefer the old format, but the photo is much better that the blurred background edge.
It's a credit to them. A lovely picture, the water is like glass and stone can only improve with age.
Well done and thankyou to whoever has put all that effort in. It's a beautiful scene. People and Nature in harmony.
Great photo and worthy credit to the couple responsible. Well, done.
That's a fine photograph - and a lovely bit of gardening to improve the scene.
Well framed shot Dennis, very tidy little garden for all to enjoy.
Great restraint from the dynamic duo, ~ ~ ~ Ah!
