I like that David, with the lodge in the background. Reminds me of the lodge I knew along Orrell Rd.

Nice one David, I know it well.
David, please put me out of my misery, could you please tell me/us where the mile marker is which you posted on 28th February this year. By the way, you owe me 5 gallons of fuel and a new set of tyres, lol. I won't add time spent searching !!!

Where have the hens gone?

Comment by: Rev David Long on 2nd April 2020 at 12:43

Roy - you mean January.... Despite her doubts, Irene was right - it's just down the road from the White Crow. My time is expensive (as you'll know if you've paid Clergy Fees for a funeral) - so where do I send my Invoice for time spent answering your question? Or we could just call it quits....
Poet - the hen coop is in the left-hand corner still.

It'll soon be ' Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing' ...staying home!
Still ....what else can we do but sit it out!

Daffodils in the hedgerows and Spring has come at last, the long long winters over. We look now to Summer and Autumn after that, and then we're back to Winter ,the daffodil asleep ,but it won't belong to Springtime .......!

There's plenty Sherry on the shelves in Sainsburys Garry -you can even take 3 bottles. I made a right fool of myself this morning! I thought it was Saturday and I complained to the girl on the counter that there was no supplement in the Mail! She said " There won't be till tomorrow"! All the days are merging into one another.... crikey!

Hi David, thank you for what could have been an 'expensive' response. The number of times I have past that marker without seeing it is unbelievable. I thought that there was only one marker on that stretch of the road, the Worthington one, which is included in the stone built perimeter wall of Dave Ellis' old property,'the helicopter house' on the left, 3 or 400yds before the White Crow going towards Chorley.
