Next step is to repair the leaks in the roof
Should be safer now, it felt like walking on eggshells on the wet tiles. Perhaps there had been one or two accidents? I wonder what happened to the original stone flags.
I always loved the Makinson Arcade, still do like to see pics of it. I remember there being a flower shop down at the Market Hall end, the scent from the shop was wonderful.
This is the sort of arcade that other towns market as an attraction for visitors...spend some money on it instead of things that dont interest people.
PS...re pics of the Grand Arcade (?)
In an empty unit in the Castle Mall in Norwich, someone has opened a table tennis club...it is always busy with people playing !
There is a table -tennis unit in one of the empty shop units in Bolton,that always seems to be busy as well.
Not just the stone flags that were ripped up; what about the original shop fronts ?
