I don't understand your" What a club" remark. The pie is synonymous with Wigan. Famous the World over.

OK, Who brought the gravy and mash?

Comment by: DTease on 3rd December 2019 at 08:12

Pie eyed and friendless.

He looks spoiled for choise has to which seat he can use

A good pie all round is our colourful fellow, but 'Wiggin Athletic' and 'Latics' have the better ring.
Come on, Wiggin! - and look out Leicester.

We need plenty pies this weather, my favourite is galoways, a bit expensive but really tasty.
Nice one Brian.

Phillip G is dreaming again, at the moment Hindley Tigers will beat Wigan Athletic.

Comment by: Mick on 3rd December 2019 at 09:15

If they put him in goal they might start to win a few matches

Wigan Ath need more than pies to win a match or two, a change in manager might help.

Aye, they go down well.

I can't speak for all Wiganers but I love a pie! I love this photo too, and his smile is infectious and has brightened my day. I can just imagine the children amongst the spectators pointing him out to their parents and waving to him.

Nobody seems to want to sit near the Pie are they scared of crumbling him, has he paid for those three seats? What's more will the Pie eat 'humble pie' after the match? Or will the Wigan pie eaters eat Pie ;o))

Give the pie the managers job.
At least we’ll have a pie in the sky chance of surviving.

Comment by: John on 3rd December 2019 at 19:48

Surely , poor defending can't be the fault of the Manager.

Comment by: Philip G. on 3rd December 2019 at 20:29

Naew don't be like thar, Arthur, . . . you neeever know.

I dreamed a dream as Fosse went down
To Wiggin's thirty-yarder,
Which almost struck a PC, there,
And 'Parson's nose, behind her.

I wondered where he went during the game, we never see him down our end, E2
