You used to be able to smell the bakery from here when the wind was blowing in the right direction

I remember as a small bit when a patisserie stuck in the old hump back bridge and the traffic was diverted .probably late 1950s or very early 60s.

It was the same going to school, J T Harvey had their bakery in Harvey street Lower Ince. It wasn't the same when Hanson's dairy took the buildings, couldn't smell the milk.

Yes Ann and Rathbones at Newtown was the same as well.

Smith's dairy had a name for Hanson's milk, 'it goes sour by the hour.' So if you'd hung around for a while Anne, you may well have smelled it.

Yes, almost forgotten about Rathbones. The milk, never heard that one before.
Anyhow, back to the picture, a very pleasant autumn day.

Just the right amount of 'goings-on' in the sky, Ron; They go nicely with the calm water.
