Great photo, never even heard of an hoverfly. how does it differ from the hover fly species.

Cracking picture that Mick . Love the tiny hairs around the body . Wonder what evolution gave it them for , capture pollen perhaps ? Thanks for posting Mick .

The Hoverfly is sometimes confused with the Wasp but it is quite harmless and is a beneficial insect
