This pub and the Famous Pagefield must be the nicest pubs buildings in all of Wigan
That telephone box would be a good place to put a Defibrillator
Wow, what a scene, a pub still open and a phone box still operable. A rare sight indeed.
Pity that the Pagefield is closed and boarded up.
Look at that building next door , looks quite new . In ten years, pound to a penny , it won’t be there . Affordable housing , absolutely , but , like all buildings , build it to last ! No pride anymore , just , that’ll do .
Soon , PAD , will be the only history book for young Wigganers , and to be honest , not sure they are bothered anyways ..
Used to drink in here in late sixties with the late, great Harry Lyon. I think Walter Kennedy was landlord. A great Wigan pub
