Photo-a-Day (Monday, 27th November, 2017)
Sennicar Lane
I think Oliver Somers son used to live in the white house, I think his name was Jon
Love the cobbles.
That's a view I haven't seen in donkeys' years - an excellent photo.
Sun on the houses shade in the lane another beauty. Irene did you watch Julie Walters last night on the black five in the highlands the fireman cooked her bacon on the shovel it smelt lovely ,great programme if she knew what happened to the shovels in the old days with the bad drivers she’d scream luckily we had a good steam hosepipe memoirs over .x
I knew Nicholas and Winifred Zazal who lived in the first white cottage, I got to know them in the 1980s through my job at the council, they were a fantastic couple with many superb stories of their travels to tell over a cup of tea, he was an American airman and they were both at one time based at Burtonwood air base.
I heard Winifred, a sister to Ken R, died some years ago and Nicholas had returned to the USA.
I suspect irene loves corrie.
Mick they lived at Samuel fold cottage on Pendlebury Lane
Jim, no, I didn't see the Julie Walters programme. Howard, I watched the very first episode of Corrie. I had just turned eight years old and I watched it from then right through until the 1990s, then I went right off it and haven't watched it since!
Mick, Oliver Somers did not have a son "Jon". His sons were Walter and Stanley. A John was the son of Walter.
Cyril, I don't know you, but you seem to know me, do you want to exchange addresses? I do not know of any Winifred and Nicholas (Americans). My sister is fine.
How boring is corrie!!
I'm sorry Ken R, it must be another Ken, Winifred's brother I was thinking about, I didn't know him or you it's obviously been a mix up of reading postings on here. Take care.
For once I agree with Alan! In fact any of the so called 'soaps' they are all the same boring drivel.
Emmerdale is ok.
