Where has the romance of rail travel gone to? those days when of steam and when you could travel to a station without feeling you're doing something wrong. Now everywhere you go there has to be police and hi hi viz jacketed security everywhere and guards and being pushed like cattle through barriers (can't people just show their tickets?), with dozens of CCTV cameras all over the place, which, when there's some "terror attack" they just happen to be switch off at the time.
