Good photo Ron. 3 pounds a ride, how much goes to the donkey?

Isn't he just gorgeous..but he looks so lonely and fed up.....I hope I'm wrong.

Comment by: owd bob on 30th April 2017 at 07:59

What does he get for his lunch at haigh hall? 30 minutes ?

Comment by: DTease on 30th April 2017 at 08:18

I don't suppose he is, but that donkey looks sadder than a 'Latics supporter.

Comment by: Veronica on 30th April 2017 at 08:18

It looks like he is living in a donkey paradise -no wonder its £3 a go.....!

Great photo, pity the donkey looks so sad, hope he's treated well.

Lovely photo , Ron.

We used to keep pet donkeys & they do look like this at times. They are not really sad, they are half asleep, dreaming & musing on things that donkeys dream & muse about....though they are quite happy if you think they are miserable because they love a cuddle !

A beautiful setting, however, it makes me very sad to see that poor little donkey; he looks worn out - he/she should be grazing in some lush pasture, not carrying children from A to B every day. We supposedly live in a more enlightened time and I think it's so wrong to use animals in this way.

Comment by: MarieM on 30th April 2017 at 17:35

Hope there are only children riding on him. Hope he is happier than he looks but he is beautiful

He does look sad,or mournful, sort of how I imagine Eeyore would look!
...Lovely picture,nevertheless!

Please dont worry about this well looked after little donkey....many are not so well blessed. Take a look at the Donkey Sanctuarys website in Sidmouth in Devon to see how these gentle creatures are abused here and worldwide.
