Photo-a-Day (Saturday, 5th November, 2016)
I wonder who he is buying a ring for.
Good subject but it could be Anytown, Anywhere, most look the same these days, depressing.
I agree with H of T it is a very atmospheric picture but could be any town. I think the trees do take away the starkness in the town centre though!
I think he is looking at watches Mick. You should go to a certain opticians.
Helen of Troy - just change the sign to Cafe Gorner.
That'll give it identity!
I agree, they all look the same. Same Costa's, Caffe Nero's, Starbucks, TK Maxx, Next, etc, etc. No individual town identity whatsoever just the same shops as elsewhere. These Caffe Nero's and Starbucks are destroying the local run cafe's, people paying £2.80 for a latte. Everyone's obsessed with having a latte these days as though they're in some European country. Where's the British-ness?.
Looking at his facial expression Mick, he's probably thinking five grand for a ring! I'll try a lucky bag.
There is life after Haigh, Aspull and New Springs then. Did you borrow Micks bike Ron ?
