When you see a photograph like this and you compare it with the misery that you see on the News all around the World, it makes you feel very lucky to have such places on your doorstep.
No apologies needed Ron.

Most famous in Wigan, its funny no Wigan company have ever used it as there logo, along with Haigh Windmill

Scousepie7 Wigan World and P-a-D covers every part of Wigan. Mining/ pits, Railways, Engineers, etc. I could go on. P-a-D is about now not the past anyway. You need to go back home down the East Lancs and stay there Lol.
Lovely photo Ron.

It obviously means something to you Ron and it is a famous beauty spot. I'm sure Julie will be thrilled to see the scene once again!

Yet again, Garry and his outlandish and offensive comments. Sadly, there's always one poster who spoils it for the rest.

Love this picture!..Don't know why scousepie complains; we all need a modicum of beauty and serenity in our lives, whilst remembering our industrial heritage. ...Well, that's my take anyway, we are all allowed our opinions!!

Not offensive at all, just honest.
