Ken we never had Herons when I was young, I like seeing them but I do feel sorry for the fish especially when they have swam for miles up a river just to lay there eggs like the Yarrow at Birkacre lodge and to be eaten by a Heron

I know I am daft, but when we were on the canals, I always thought my holiday hadn't begun until I saw one of these lovely birds. Beautiful photograph. Thank you.
