Dramatic David. We've had some good sunsets lately.

Our house is on there somewhere

Measurements are just right ....more sky and less earth for a sunset.

Great pic David!
As an artist I can appreciate the composition and colours. Maureen will probably have her two pence worth!

That top portion of cloud reminds me of the Wicker Bird on 31st August 2012 P-a-D.
BTW where`s the `wildlife`!!

Rule of thumb for landscapes...
Third of picture foreground, two thirds sky. These proportions seem about right. Well calculated!

Lovely velvety effect.

Correct Johnny......it seems to be rule of thirds whatever composition is attempted and it makes things less complicated and easier on the eye! Happy painting!
That's why I look on this site every day ....for inspiration.

Thanks I'm pleased you like it. The camera used was an old Samsung phone and not my Olympus Stylus 1s as the caption states.

Thanks Vb.
Glad you're inspired...there is alot of good points made and alot of silliness (guilty)on the site but what the 'eck if you can't have a chuckle!
