I have a fascination for fungi and Peter takes pics for me when he walks our Ben, but none as good as this!

Some folks consider them a delicacy, though I wouldn't even consider eating one.

Must be ideal growing conditions as there's been a lot of fungi sprouting up this Autumn.

These Stinkhorn mushrooms are knows as Phallus impudicus and are a rare sight in Wigan, so you viewers of Photo of the Day have been having a real treat today.

PS they eat them in China.
