Great pic, only fitting that it is monochrome.
The dead center of Ince ?

Nice contre-jour Dave!

Comment by: Garry on 5th October 2015 at 08:25

I take my hat off to you Dave.

Comment by: Mick on 5th October 2015 at 08:42

You would have got a better photo if you had took the photo with the sun behind your back.

Comment by: kath on 5th October 2015 at 09:09

Comment by: John Morris on 5th October 2015 at 09:16

Perfect for Remembrance Sunday.
Well done again Oy.

I know what Mick means, but I actually like this one being taken into the sun.

Comment by: Jonno on 5th October 2015 at 12:36

Center Derek ? Let's type in English please, we have enough Americanisms in our lives without bringing them into WW.
Good photo Dave and that's without acceding to Mick's 'superior' knowledge of photography. LOL.

Comment by: Roy on 5th October 2015 at 13:31

Mick, sun behind your back is little lads photography, Dave was looking for something a little different here.

Comment by: Maureen on 5th October 2015 at 14:10

Beautiful Dave..and very dramatic.

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 5th October 2015 at 14:17

Not my cup of tea!
Jonno; Derek has lived in Canada for quite some time!

Trumps again Dave, thank you

As Canada is half French it's more likely that Derek would have encountered the word spelt as we spell it - centre.

It's a excellent photo - in more ways than one:

For the Fallen.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Thanks all :)

I knew it was one of Dave's shots before I scrolled down. You can always tell a professional's photos when you see them. Well done, Oy..!!

Mick, this technique is great. I once shot a similar photo of the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge in Scotland with the sun behind it, out of a clear blue sky in the winter and it is stunning, just like Dave's photo above.

Canada isn't half French but French and English are the official languages. Good photo by the way. When I write on UK sites I spell it centre whatever auto correct tells me.
