"Old" bus ??? The last Wigan Corporation bus but I saw had an open door at the rear left side, with a vertical chrome plated bar to grab hold of. This one looks positively modern.
You cant beat a ride on a old fashioned bus for bring back memories.
Leyland Atlantean built in 1967, with Roe body. Reg: OBU 163F. fleet number 163, has Brian say's, Oldham Corporation.
With some of the bone shakers we still have today including both single and double deckers this bus would not look out of place.
Stagecoach buses that's now operated in Wigan are lovely and clean, some are new.
My dear old dad used to work for Santus motor body works ,wonder if he covered those seats in that bus.going back to the late 40`s early 50`s
