well it is an arbour, which means there are ships. So why not pirate ships.

Im glad I dont live next door to someone who would do that.

Is it supposed to be for this Halloween madness

Nice clear sharp picture.

Mick, the property in question always has a flag of some kind flying. They seem to change it every day.

Comment by: Bob on 4th November 2014 at 08:58

Could be flying to stop the likes of mick living there he cant afford to live there anyway.

Well, shiver me timbers! A lovely photo, Neil. Love the monkey-puzzle tree.

Derek are you tongue in cheek or have you really got your arbour and harbour mixed up.

Comment by: Giovanni on 4th November 2014 at 09:13

Somalian pirates in Wigan! I bet they operate near the Pier.
What is the town coming to?

Comment by: Anne on 4th November 2014 at 11:23

Bradshaws Girl do you mean the one on Billinge road (A571) just before Merton road heading towards Windy Arbour? If so I don't think this is the same property. I think this is on Wigan road (A571) going into Billinge slightly before the boundary.

It went through my mind it would be better near Bickershaw, then it could be 'Walk the Plank Lane'

Anne I,ve permanently got my tongue in my cheek. I call it a sense of humour.

Comment by: Giovanni on 4th November 2014 at 16:38

BradshawsGirl - Watch out for the black ISIS flag!

Comment by: Bradshaws Girl on 4th November 2014 at 16:42

Anne, no not the one on Billinge Road.
As you say it is the one just over the boundary.

An amusing photo, I like it.

Theres a lot of big houses putting flags up.

Theres one house in Barmskin lane Heskin that put up a lot of different nationality flags and there Frank Waring the egg man from Wrennals lane who lowers his union jack to half mast if Wigan Rugby lose a game

Comment by: Giovanni on 6th November 2014 at 09:31

Mick - That flag must be permanently at half-mast then!
