Tom its bit fuzzy had you just come out of the Colliers Arms when you snapped it

Comment by: Cyril on 16th August 2014 at 10:04

Have a grand day Lizzie!!

I like to have a quick look over there when driving down from Aspull as there's so much to see, from the Derbyshire Peaks, the Cheshire Plains and the mountains of North Wales.

Nice picture - happy birthday Lizzie.

Comment by: Alan on 16th August 2014 at 11:26

Lets not do birthday wishes to all, other wise we'll loose touch of the photo.

Comment by: Garry on 16th August 2014 at 17:18

Photo does nowt for me, might as well wish people birthdays.

Comment by: Alan on 16th August 2014 at 17:26

I think Thomas is more equipped of taking street sceens.

Comment by: Polly on 16th August 2014 at 18:09

Garry, I found your comments greatly enriching. It shows we are all individual
and not bound into groups of thought. Saying that , I personally thought , with the grasses in the foreground, I found this picture quite pleasing .

Liz; Where art thou?

Comment by: Jane on 16th August 2014 at 23:11

I live not far from Fiddlers Ferry - didn't think it could be seen from Wigan. Garry it is in Widnes.

Comment by: Ellen on 17th August 2014 at 03:41

I love this picture!

-Hope you had a lovely Birthday Lizzie
--May you have many more!

Comment by: Garry on 17th August 2014 at 10:30

Jane, yes Fiddlers Ferry power station is in Widnes. Bickershaw here in Wigan use to serve the station with coal up to the 1990s. You can even see the power station cooling towers from Winter Hill.

Polly, you're right, we all have opinions, this makes WW more interesting.
Thomas Walsh has taken some great photos in the past, but I'm afraid not the one!

Comment by: Alan on 17th August 2014 at 10:45

Why are we doing Birthday dedications to people we don't even know?? I can understand women doing it because they seem to do strange things, but not men. Lets keep it to P-a-D and stop all this nonsense.

If you wish to carry on with B/Day wishes, switch to another site.

Comment by: tricia on 17th August 2014 at 12:50

What a barrel of laughs you are, Alan. Maybe we need a section headed 'whinging and moaning old gits'. You would be really at home there.
Everyone on here knows Lizzie . As far as I am aware we still have free speech on here so I suggest if it offends you for us to wish each other Happy birthday YOU hop it to another site.
TTFN lol

Comment by: Garry on 18th August 2014 at 19:25

Tricia would make a cracking Prime Minister, she doesn't beat about the bush, straight in.

Comment by: Lizziedownunder on 18th August 2014 at 19:47

Thank you very much for all the lovely wishes folks...and yes a beautiful picture it is Thomas...cheers!!!!

Comment by: tricia on 18th August 2014 at 21:04

Oh if only, Garry. I'd sort the divils out !

Comment by: Jack on 22nd August 2014 at 16:43

Careful Tricia, or you will get an ego and start believing your own press, the first step to a downfall for any Prime Minister- don,t they teach you this in government?

Comment by: tricia on 24th August 2014 at 10:18

Jack
I have had a mind of my own ever since I was old enough to realise I had a brain.
Girl Power.. that's not new...been doing that since the day I was born !! LOL

Comment by: Jack on 26th August 2014 at 17:35

Absolutely Tricia, but why does Girl Power not speak louder on the rapes in India? FGM? The treatment of women in the Muslim world. Where are the celebs who could send a message to the world that Girl Power does not accept this ie Madona, Spice etc etc.
