Well done Brian, every time I went into Mesnes Park I wondered when the memorial statue would be replaced. I assume we will see it tomorrow.

Brian, a very good photograph ,looking forward to tomorrows , showing the image in all its splendour . Very well done to all involved in the campaign to have the statue replaced. This along with the fountain and other improvements have brought the magic back to Mesnes Park.

I remember there being one or two tanks at the side of this, from WW1 ,but where recycled for WW2.They where not very big.

Interesting that their were actually two Boer Wars, this statue relates to the 2nd War in which we were victorious, the first we were not so.
