I wonder of that green lorry is a Eddie Stobart.

Mick; I went on a Shearings coach tour and a young couple were sat in front of me. He had a book in which he listed the numbers of the Eddie Stobart`s lorries that he saw.

We're on the 105 metre (355 feet) contour - almost the highest point in Standish - add 15 feet to my vantage point upstairs, and the pic was taken at about 370 feet above sea level.
I cannot actually see St Thomas' with the naked eye - it merges too well into the background - so it was only when I looked at the images I'd taken with my zoom lens that I realised it is in my line of sight.
I was surprised - when you drive past the church, it appears to be tucked away near the bottom of the hill. But, as you can see, almost all the church building is in view, and it is quite a few feet above the level of the M6.
I keep hoping for a really clear day when I'll be able to get much crisper images.

Well Done Rev. D. the clarity is excellent considering the distance at which the photo was taken.
