If you want nice birds to come into your garden try using seeds that I use I.e Nigra, Sunflower heart kernels,TTK Conditioner,White Safflower,Mixed Canary, wild bird seed, fat balls and monkey nuts.
The monkey nuts are for Magpies, at least if they eat these they are not killing little sparrows et.
Nice picture of the blackbird/starling/crow/moorhen/eagle
Well done Haitch

Thanks all.
Dave I thought it was a Blackbird because the Blackbird nest is only 15 feet away and the Blackbirds leave it alone but chase away any other birds that come close including a Magpie and Pidgeons that eat all the food if they can.

A way to get birds to come in your garden is to ' adapt ' one feeder so that starling ect can not get / stay on it and empty it !

Thank you for that Oy.....big discussion with hubby.....thought it was a starling as the beak is too big and long for a blackbird.....we have them here and the babies follow their parents around incessantly begging for food....as you would if you were a baby starling.....nice pic Harry.....cheers!!

A young starling or known has a Sheppy. The adult male has a glossy iridescent colour plumage and sharp yellow bill.
