Photo-a-Day (Saturday, 13th August, 2011)
Photo: John Williams (Nikon D50 With 70-300 Nikon lens)
looks like its heading to Germany. Good shot One hour ride in a original kitty hawk last week in canada 3000 dollars, no guns
Good catch. There is no mistaking the shape of a Spifire.
This is a rare MK9 Photo Reconnaisance model complete with it's original Merlin Engine, and a World War II veteran, having seen service in France and Belgium in 1945.
All other PR Spitfires on the Airshow circuit are MK19s with the more powerful Griffon Engine.
Another striking shot John!
Nice shot of the BBMF Spitfire.
Always good to see.
Hi Sandy thanks for the comment however this is owned by a company called Hanger 11 all the BBMF PR Spitfires are the later MK19 models. Thanks also to everyone else for their comments
