Good photo Brian.I rebember picking spuds at Parbold,when i was a kid. Worked all day for about 2and6.It cost us a bob to get there on the train.

never picked spuds..but picked peas and used to eat loads of them...

prato picking week,boody slavery but was worth it at end of two weeks .pockets full of money for a couple of days

Just me and hubby at home but we saved a patch of the garden and some empty pots to grow our own potato`s. There is nothing nicer than seeing all those little spuds coming into sight .There arnt any shop ones that taste like home grown `uns.
