Great pic, but are you going to show it every Sunday

That is not an arcade ! An arcade is a roof spanning the space between
two close buildings. That one is simply one ugly looking building. Who names these things ?

This is the one you tilt shifted... yes?

Either way, I love it. Wigan is not a crowded little town after all.

Although I prefer this to the photoshopped version posted earlier this month, I'm a bit puzzled as to why we seeing it again so soon.

I'm surprised to see lots of shrubs/trees to the right of the central red crane, are the trees in the area of the Wiend?
Thanks for showing this photo again Stewart, I found the tilt shifted one difficult to orientate

Wigan ? Looks like something from outer space, Get rid of the useless Labour council, anything worth saving they will have it knocked down and replaced with monstrosities, Anyone who wants to know what a town should look like could visit Oxford and take a look how places should be,PS people still looking for Boar war statue that once stood in Mesnes Park, Wigan Council got rid of that as well,Councillor Brogan bless is soul was one of the councillors who decided to get rid of statue.

Oh yes there was this fine building there beforehand, it was a concrete multi-storey car park..yup yup, what a loss.

Oh, you mean the Ritz? that popular place that you couldn't keep people out of? Yeah, was funny they decided to bulldoze that seeing as it was used so much by the locals.

Wigan might not be better aesthetically after this development, but its boost to the town is evident by walking around the town centre these days.

ime with you derek, what genious has been given the job to design these hidious blots on the land, i mean wigan police station embarrasing, its up for sale it wants knocking down now!!!!,you just have to look at the old pics of wigan the convant ,the market, the market square the ,ship inn , the little arcades the quaint wigan is being lost, and as for the grand arcade well i hate it and so do lots of other wiganers , theres no character you could be anywhere ,its the same as bolton i loved going in the indoor market town centre but theyve took it all away and put expensive boring shops there instead???? i dont go in anymore, its always empty and ime glad as i dont think it will last and it will serve the big wigs right , there was an opposition book or more with millions of names in that wanted to keep it like it was but them at the top get their way no matter what the publick want, it stinks.
