Thank you Ron, one of my favorite pass times when in Wigan is walking in the Plantations. Walking Hall Lane to the Lodge is a very nice walk. Many Wiganers don't know what they have in their own back yard.
I agree...there are some lovely places, and on a lovely warm day Haigh is lovely! Sadly, these days, I wouldn't feel safe on my own in the plantations and have to wait until I have a companion....a sad sign of the times. Thanks for the lovely photo....does someone still live in the lodge?
Yes Irene, a fellow by the name of Bernard lives there , he breeds dogs. Labradors I think.
Lovely picture, we walk past there most weekends and the dogs always barking.
Just read through and realised i've put "lovely" three times in one sentence!.....I was typing the comment in and talking to my daughter on the phone at the same time, and all with 10 minutes to get to the hairdressers; will learn to take my time in future!
