Hello Dave, is that the old town hall with scaffolding around and covered over with white sheeting? I hadn't noticed it when I last went past.

I havent been in Wigan for many years, Why is it closed? have they built a new one?

It's closed because it was ancient, smelly, falling to bits, and is being replaced as part of the new "Joint Service Centre" on the same site. It'll be a smaller pool - 25m.

Not been in for years. I hope that if it is demolished and rebuilt that they still have the diving boards and the 16' deep end.

thats not the baths i new we used to go to the old one at the other side ,then after we had been swimming we used to go to the british homes stores and have some lovely hot tomatoe soup and a crusty roll yummy
