Our Lady’s Infant School

Our Lady’s Infant School
Our Lady’s Infant School stands on Rag Brow at the top. It was dismantled brick by brick and re-erected with a roof that could accommodate another room.

I have many many memories of this place, its the one school I can honestly say I was happy in. There was a huge tree in the playground which has long since been chopped down. They used to teach us in the front garden or in the park over the road on sunny days, My mum had a painting commissioned of this school.Mrs Tattum was the headmistress, us kids used to call her Mrs tattyhead behind her back, she used to nick the cream from the tops of our school milk!Fab pic, brings back memories.
