A really good site. It broughts lots of memories flooding back. I left Orrell, Wigan in 1969, but still did pretty good on your Wigan Speyk. Loved the pictures of the pubs. I was born and lived for 28 years only a hundred yards from the Old Engine in Kitt Green, one of your featured pubs.

I never feel homesick until I come across sites like this!

You sent Greg a couple of your websites and I started looking and I just couldn't stop.
We just found out that our GGrandparents are from around Wigan and Bolton. Hate to say I never heard of these places before and I think your Webpage sure bring me up-to-date. It is very exciting. Thank you so very much for all your hard work.

We've been here since 1974 but have lots of relatives in Wigan and always happy to hear from anyone there.

Loved the site, I'm from Burscough but the wife is from Wigan, came out here 4 years ago.

Great (and sometimes sad) to see the changes, always keep up with the Warriors, grand watching them duff Saints.

I lived in Wigan for my first 23 years. I then lived around the Lancaster and Morecambe area. The past 13 years I've lived in York.

I go "home" often to see my family. I especially enjoy a pint in the 'Bowling Green'pub on Wigan Lane.

Lovely site--I'm researching my Wigan ancestors--Joseph Cunliffe + Alice Yates, Thomas Farrimond + Margaret Horan, John Farrimond + Elizabeth Booth. I've not managed to visit Wigan yet, but it's good to get a flavour from your site. I'd like to try those mints, too!

I was looking for pics of Poolstock and was also keen to get some info on Winstanley Hall, which Brian kindly e-mailed me.
Would love to see some overhead pics of the saddle junction over the years, there have been some changes there!
