this steam engine and it cargo broke free,at springs branch.it was conveying coal from bickershaw pit.this is the was the final resting place,when it was finaly stopped.the year was late 60s or early 70s.the people in the photo were my work mates at springs branch loco.

It had to be 60's as steam finished in 68
