Remember this well. It was Kettle's big push for the charts: October, November 1976. Saw them at Holland Hall, I think...Remember I got a sticker, but didn't get this badge...
They were a great band and deserved some success; sadly the single flopped.....
Shame...
Kettle came specially to our school to promote this single (Hindley and Abram Grammar). The tune was very catchy...I can still remember it over 30 years later! Great times and it deserved to be a hit I thought.
I agree Andrew, it was a fine single and deserved better.
It didn't get much air-play on Radio One; that was the problem.
My cousin Betty is married to an original Kettle member I hope she can throw a light on this badge x
Still got the record pity I can't play it not got a record player!
I was with John Lewis (the ex Kettle bass player) at practice a couple of nights ago I mentioned this badge. He remembered them well.
Im jimmy dykes son we've fell out of contanct was wondering if it would be possible to borrow that record to have it put into a digital format as id like to get back in touch with him think this woulbe a good segway to start a line of communication again
