This was obviously outside the Wigan Wallgate Station.
You can see the Minorca Pub at the top of King Street.

I believe King Edward V11 visited Wigan in 1905.

I think the King and Queen might have stayed at Haigh Hall, I have seen a picture somewhere of the Royal Party outside Haigh Hall with The Earl of Crawford and Balcarres.
