Hi 1934 Granada,I'm sorry I've looked for the pics & John is only on a couple & theyre not very good. But I did find this poster, I can't remember the names of the two on the left, I think one of them is Fish, middle, Roy Gaskell,Jimmy Dyke & John Lewis
Not sure of the date, maybe mid 70s

Hi Betty. Thanks for posting this photo. I was rehearsing with John last night and he said he enjoyed himself so much on Saturday that he is considering making it an annual event! Lets hope so eh. We could call it Lewis-stock as opposed to Woodstock!

i remember seeing these at wigan casino in the seventies and always remember the finale a great version of "black night" the deep purple song, also at about that time "colonel bagshots incredible bucket band" were doing the clubs.

I remember them down the Bier Keller on King Street with others, The Answers, Pendulum, Edward John Concern, Desmond, M6 Breakdown Band and Memphis Slim. Wednesday night was folk night with Andy and later Tuesday was folk night with Fergus an Irish lad from Longshoot. Later saturday and sunday became disco with Russ Winstanley and John Lowe.

John Lewis is still in a band, he plays bass in a brilliant band called The Outlaws. I've seen them loads of times,he's still got that magic. ha ha ha

Actually helped to roadie for them at Jenkinson's Bar in Blackpool around 1973. They had a residency at Wigan Rugby Club at that time on Thursday night, and sometimes Tuesday. Great set at the time that included the Moodies' "Gypsy". They were a fine band with a tight sound from years of playing together. I always mention Joe Moss and Mick Moss when I think of Kettle; I think Joe helped out at certain times, and Mick was Kettle's No1 fan... Great days.

Fish was John Fishwick I believe and the guy in the White suit is Steve Free. They stayed at my mums guest house in Rhyl a few times when playing at local clubs. Great Band both when playing it straight or their Comedy which was Brilliant!!!

Put me out of my misery will someone please.
I remember seeing this band some time in the distant past, they were great.
They finished the night with what they called their only track released as a single, I think it was called "Changes" but not 100% sure, can anyone help?

Fish (John Fishwick) is my grandfather. I've known about Copper Kettle for a while just wish I could find more about them. I don't see him too much anymore.

Just talking about Cards by Gary Numan at work and my memory kicked in - I used to see these guys a lot in the early to mid-80’s in Johannesburg and also Port Elizabeth in South Africa, I emigrated to Australia in 1987

Roy on drums, Mick as lead singer, Bubbles on bass (because he farted in the bath), and Fish

Good blokes – lot of fun - pass on my regards if you see any, may remember me (or not!)

Great memories with Kettle. Followed them all over the place and became friends with them. We being me(Pete, the youngest and by far the best looking in MHO lol) and Tom and Carol. We were very friendly with Roy. I think the last time I saw any of them was at Micks wedding which would have been the late 70s. Great memories being Kettle groupies! Always remember Micks quip if they got any stick...I've seen you on the telly....interference!
