Does any one remember these Girls, I know 3 of them but not the other two. This photo was taken in the Duke of York pub in Lloret De Mar in July 1971.
L/R 1 Elsie Armstrong ( now Hitchen married to me) 2 Don't no, 3 Don't no, 4 Christine Duffy, 5 Pat Rogerson. Can anyone fill in the two Don't No's.
Elsie died in 2020 and I miss her so much. Elsie was 21 in this year and she worked at Coop's, and the Clarence Pub was their local, if you look in the back ground you can make out Peter Hart waving his arm he was in Lloret de Mar also. Thanks Brian

Brian, I recognise a few faces but sorry no names. Probably seen them around town at weekend. Palais and Sportsmens club. They look a nice bunch of girls. Not one tattoo or face piercing...

The way we were! Very sixties and pretty and ‘au natural’ but there’s a reserve at the same time even with those legs on show.

What is the fascination that Wiganers seem to have with Lloret?

Back in 1960's, I set off with a companion to do the overland trip to Marrakech..

He however wanted to go to Lloret.

He cited opening lines from Laurie Lee 'Cyder with Rosie', so I guess interest in The Spanish Civil War, in his case.

I was OK with a detour to take in Lloret.

Anyway, as things worked out, we got separated before we had even crossed the Channel, and were never again to see each other.

Sad, he was a close friend who I do miss. We shared an interest in music of Woody Guthrie.

I hear through the grapevine, that he now lives in North Wales, but I do not have an address, so have never sought him out.

The girl 2nd left looks familiar to me. Can’t remember her name but I’m sure she’s an Abram girl.
