Ah that's better.
Thankyou so much, whoever you are, for turning my photo the right way up....I wouldn't have had a clue how to do it!
We had a carpet like that one Irene to go with all the McCurdy’s furniture in our front room in John St.
I straightened the photo for you. I felt dizzy looking at the other one. ;~))
I love the little 1950s boy and girl on the lid of the painting-box....they remind me of the illustrations in the Ladybird Books when I was in the Infants' department at school....."Shopping With Mother" and such similar titles. The doll is named Veronica in honour of you-know-who. (my lovely friend-and-ally on p-a-d!), and the hat just showing its feather behind the painting-box is one of my 1940s hats.
Thankyou Veronica....I would have had no idea how to turn the photo round! Funnily enough, I emailed the photo to you some time ago and it was the right way up! A mystery!
ps, Veronica, the hat on the "Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers" photo I made out of an old trilby of Peter's that looked a bit the worse for wear. The one shown here was bought ready-made but I added the pheasant feathers.
Irene, that poor Pheasant, when you plucked those feathers I bet it didn't half squawk.
