These go under my Christmas Tree every year and I'm sure you all recall the children's painting boxes; I love the little 1950s boy and girl on the lid of the box. The doll is named "Veronica" in honour of you-know-who! (My lovely friend). Hope these bring back memories of childhood Christmases.

Held within a paintbox
the heart and soul of youth ,
a moment now so far ,
but within it is my truth I often like to hold it
like once I did before
the timeless still inside me ,
a child again once more ..
Somethings they never leave you ,
you want them there to stay ,
and in my heart I keep them ,
my paintbox is that way ..

Some kind person has corrected it for me further along, Garry, so you can view it at a better angle. If you've got a stiff neck , a sherry is a good remedy.....pour one for me too! (I haven't got a stiff neck but any excuse for a sherry!).
