Anyone put a date to the image?

The registration no. JP 9829 indicates that the JP sequence was approaching the 1000 limit of JP numbers. This was followed by all new registrations being prefixed AEK and I think this started in approximately 1954.

Oops, missed a zero out. Should have said the maximum ten thousand numbers to follow the JP prefix,

I thought the three prefix letters were introduced in 1963.

This Bedford coach was new to Smiths in June 1952 so this was taken some time after that.

This is Smiths of Wigan, Smiths Happiway spencers came much much later.
