I sent the photograph of "Wantage" with myself standing in front of it (taken by my Father during a walk past John Pit) to the Meccano Magazine editor in late 1958. It appeared in this edition.

Just in case anyone would be interested, the entire back catalogue of 'Meccano Magazine' is available on disk. Got mine on ebay, but guess there are other sources, also.

Interesting stuff. The Meccano Magazine was years ahead of its time and always had great articles. Brilliant post.
