A wet St. George's Day Parade in May 1973.
The Brownies on the right of the picture, walking along Station Road, are the newly formed 44th. Wigan Town Brownies (Worsley Mesnes School).

I am the little brownie on the left walking . I went to Worsley Mesnes county Primary school and was seven years old. The Brown Owl was Mrs Latham and I think the Tawny Owl was Mrs Ashley. My Maiden Name was Susan Armstrong.
