Roy Hurst in the Market hall THE place in Wigan to go for records. Did he die in an accident or something?

Roy Hurst died suddenly, three or four years before the old Market Hall closed.
He loved travel and used to holiday in what where then very exotic places, and I was told he died as a result of a virus/illness he caught on a holiday.

Very sad, it was a good shop and what they didn't have they would bend over backwards to get.

He died of malaria contracted in Africa. He had a place in Mombassa. He used to talk about it when I used to call in the Cherry a Gardens for a pint after work. I was with him in the Brocket at lunchtime on the day he died. He left his pint and went home saying he felt unwell. I later heard that sadly he'd passed away. Used to enjoy his reminiscences of travelling across Africa

Roy died of cerebral malaria six days after returning to the UK for the birth of his first granchild. I drove him to Liverpool School of Tropical Medecine with him turning black in the passenger seat. Ten minutes later he was dead.

Hi, Is it still possible to buy these?
I am Roy's Granddaughter & I know these would mean a lot to my mum, Karen Hurst.

Thanks
