I think its a 'mixed traffic' on the Whelley line going towards Ince area. Any more info on this type of loco would be appreciated.

As to the location Philip,it looks like it is travelling on the up whelley line close to Roundhouse Sidings.
It is just a guess but it looks like a Black 5 locomotive,possibly one of the batch built by Armstrong-Whitworth
